Trades Tour Showcase at KPM
A group of Thompson Rivers University students recently got the chance to learn about a variety of different in-demand career paths for trades.
December 2, 2021- KPM Ltd. hosted a tour provided to the students enrolled in the women in trades program with the opportunity to hear more about the various careers and areas of study that are offered within Trades. Our staff at KPM guided and helped to provide information to students to help them with their career decision-making process.
Our staff guided the group through the different departments at KPM Ltd. Showing the different tasks and processes each position has. Students had the opportunity to have a closer look at the actions revolving around the shop and the possible paths each position leads to.
Women in trades training is a program available at Thompson Rivers University. An initiative co-funded by the federal and provincial government and sponsored by the Industry Training Authority.
It assists women to become ready for trades employment, to register as an apprentice, or to gain a credential in an ITA Industry Training Program.
